Frogs are one of the most physically diverse groups of species on Earth, and the 4,740 species range in colouration from bright orange, purple and red to dull olive-green. Although these amphibians are threatened by many factors, the fatal fungal infection chytridiomycosis is responsible for the decline, and even extinctions, of numerous frog species around the world.
